I like the Madmans daughter because it was more interesting and you learned more from it.
I like the first book better because i actually finished it and i liked the plot better.
I like Anna Dressed in Blood more. Being able to read about all the gore in detail was kind of cool. Also, the fact that he fell in love with this killer ghost shows that you can fall for anyone. It was cute and twisted at the same time!
I personally liked both books, but I liked Mad Man's Daughter a tad more because it had more realistic elements like prostitution, odd scientific experiments, and ship wrecks. Also, because the ending of the first book seems to have a grim/somber ending as opposed to Anna Dressed in Blood which had a happy ever after type ending, conflicted a bit with the overall dark tone of the books.
I preferred Anna Dressed in Blood because it kept me engaged throughout the entire book. The imagery used in this book is very vivid . But it is not too over the top to the point where you get lost in the text. I really enjoyed the supernatural aspect of it , yet the author added a twist to the story by taking generalizations , expanding upon them and creating an interesting story, plot, and characters
I liked Ana Dressed in Blood better because I had got far enough to understand the book. Also the book also talked about Cas's future goals and what his friends and family wanted. How Cas felt more connected to the ghosts than he did with living people. It gave a good supernatural feel to it too
Although I didn't finish this book, I liked The Madmans Daughter more because of the interesting plot.
