This book is really similar to a Wattpad story that I'm currently reading called 'Laced'. In both books, the main character is a female that gets taken and develops an emotional connection to her abductor. They both become stronger than they've been before and see things in a new perspective. However, 'Laced' deals with futuristic slavery.
This book does not relate to any of the books i have read because i usually read funny books or scary books but this gives a new perspective to books.
It reminds me a lot of a book I read called "stolen Children", which was a girl who got kidnapped while babysitting. This book seems a lot less cliche.
i think the book is different because its about a girl who gets stolen for the reason of love other books ive read were women are stolen is because their put into prostitution or killed, and or tortured. but in this book shes stolen and let to live with no fear (but she still is scared for reason) and even allowed to run away on 2 occasion and returns with no consequences or changes
A connection that is see is the movie the Call. However, the Call is much more dark and has no romance
I have read books in which a character is taken or kidnapped, but they are really different compared to this one. This one is written in 3rd person and first person. It's really nice actually. It tells a story like a letter or a person telling a story. It's different from most stories I've read because those are first person.
This book is similar to a book called "Tears of Tess". It is similar in that Tess is kidnapped on a trip to Mexico and is drugged and kidnapped. Like Gemma, Tess finds strength and changes as a person.
