Making Reservations for the Library and Equipment

- The Library Desktops: You can reserve the library desktops for ½ blocks only. This is to ensure equity amongst staff. There are 36 desktop computers, and all of them print. The only exception to this rule is if we are collaborating, and I am teaching part of your class with you. Then, you can reserve it for a full block.
- The Reservation should tell me Your last name and the number of computers you will need. These things allow me to reserve the correct amount of computers in case it’s a lunch period.
- Library Chrome Carts 1, 2, and 3: When you reserve the Chrome carts, you should reserve the cart for the entire day. These laptop carts are heavy and hard to move around. After you are done, bring them back to the library and plug them in. Don’t hold them until the next day, as usually someone wants to get them in the morning. Please be sure when your kids are done with them, all of them are plugged back in for charging for the next user. Chromecart 1 has 20 computers; #2 has 24 computers; #3 has 28 computers.
- Ipad Cart: You can reserve this cart for either the entire day or for certain periods as it is a little easier to move. You must shut the cart off before you unplug it. Again, please bring it back when you are done. If you’d like to use the iPads in the library, please email me separately about that so I can reserve some table space. Please be sure when your kids are done with them, all of them are plugged back in for charging for the next user. Also, lock the pad lock. There are 22 iPads.
- Library Printer: This is primarily for student use. You may print out one copy of things that you need for copying. If all of the printers and copiers are broken, you may print as needed during non-lunch periods and not before school. The kids print a lot at these times and if a teacher is printing too, it will jam. Please print double-sided and encourage the kids to do so as well.
- Writing Center Instructors: If you'd like some amazing Writing Center tutors to come to your class, please book us for an appointment. Especially during non-lunch periods, we have students ready and willing to tutor in your classes.
